We started our first projects in Ndijani, a village in the heart of Zanzibar. After the construction of a water supply system, improvements in hygiene conditions and the establishment of an outpatient clinic, we were able to start building a primary and secondary school. It was put into operation in 2009 and also includes a multi-purpose hall with a canteen. By now, around 700 children attend our school every year.
Read moreTo ensure that the students have a chance of vocational training after completing their basic education, the next project was the construction of a vocational school for tourism and gastronomy with an integrated youth hostel. This was put into operation in 2015. Our focus now lies on expanding the vocational school to include the agricultural sector.
Read moreThe agricultural project is the keystone of this development and includes, on the one hand, already acquired land for the practical application of agricultural techniques and, on the other hand, training and classrooms that are yet to be built.
